This restaurant has been around for ages. We arrived on a Saturday just as some tables turned over and so there was no wait. Wait staff was attentive but food circulated slowly because it was just after a rush. The food is reliable for dim sum, hot and with good flavors.
Just an update on silver fountain since I've gone twice over 14 days because of the lunar new year. A favorite appetizer of mine is the cold dish with a selection of meats and jellyfish. It's a good starter and a variety to sample for all those around. The food is pretty average for a Chinese restaurant. Service is pretty good. They were quick to set the tables, clear empty dishes and refill our water cups. It's a pretty casual restaurant. It was extremely busy lunar new year weekend but otherwise it's usually not very filled.
This is the Chinese white broccoli dish I wrote about previously. It has Chinese sausage and another kind of preserved pork in it. I like the wood ear and the celery flavor.
Solid dim sum and not super crowded on Saturday. Got there early when they open at 11am and the carts are rolling. Seemed like they bring all the staples out first (steamed & fried carts), but the unique entrees don't start coming out until 11:45a. We were pretty full by then, but just a mental note for next time. Beef chow foon, spareribs & rice noodles (probably their signature dish), scallion ginger crabs, BBQ meats, soy sauce noodles, Singapore rice noodles, are all worth waiting for. One of the only places in the area that sells full size baked char sui bao, although there's more air than filling. Service was OK
